Edie Halenbeck was an outstanding realtor, and I know, without a doubt, that we would not have gotten the price we got without her. Yes, we had pretty much gutted the house and done a great job on the renovations which were high end, and the location was outstanding. There are several aspects where Edie’s many years of experience and professionalism made a significant impact on the price we eventually accepted. First, she guided us to an asking price that was well thought out to attract the most interest without being too high or too low. She also suggested the name of a home stager, who listened carefully to our vision of the way we wanted the home staged, and the audience we hoped to attract. We were very proud of the way the home showed, and appreciate the referral to this truly great staging company. Edie kept us abreast of early interest from realtors who had well qualified buyers who wanted to submit early offers. We discussed the pros and cons and decided to wait for the official date for offers. Edie was never pushy and answered all of our questions patiently. When the time came to review the offers (there were 8—all well-qualified and preapproved) Edie spent the entire day speaking to the various realtors, keeping us abreast of how the negotiations were going. This is where a really good realtor makes all the difference—and why we got the price we got. The deal closed smoothly in 30 days with all parties very happy. I have already given Edie Halenbeck’s info to two people I know who may be putting their house on the market this spring. I know they will be in good hands!
