Drew and Christine of Mogran Homes (Re/Max) helped us (first home buyers) finding a right place for us (family of four with two young kids) in the Belmont area. We focused on finding a place in San Carlos / Belmont area. Their expertise in these areas were one of the main reasons we first contacted them. As the first home buyers, we made uneducated assumptions for things, and did not fully understand what are more important factors, but each time Drew patiently and kindly explained everything in details, which were really helpful. Also, he was never pushy. In the open houses, Drew meticulously went through the properties, and clearly shared his thoughts. Even after the closing date, Drew organized things and spent his time (and also being present on the property) on bringing the right experts so that we can further inspect and repair the property. Drew and Christine Morgan of Morgan Homes (Re/Max) in San Carlos did a fantastic job of listing and selling our property in San Mateo. Drew was quick to set up all the inspections and appraisals necessary. He showed up at all the inspections and stayed with the inspectors at the property while they did their work, enabling us to attend to other matters. All the paper work was completed very efficiently through electronic signing programs which he provided. Drew sat with the family several times providing answers to all our many questions and concerns. Drew and Christine provided us with 3 different scenarios for selling our home. 1) Selling in the condition it was in. 2) Doing repair work based on the inspections. 3) Bringing the home to the best possible selling price condition. Included in the scenarios were their estimate of the money needed to be spent for each scenario and the probable outcome as to price. Also included was the amount of additional profit expected for each scenario. There was a lot of time and work put into this project and it helped us make the right decision for our specific circumstance. They walked us through every step of the sale and kept in constant contact either in person, by email, or promptly returning calls and messages Even after the sale they helped us with referrals for selling, removing or donating items in the house we could not keep. I was very impressed with the quality of service this team provided and would certainly use them again for any future real estate transactions.
Drew and Christine were recommended to us by a close friend who said they were great….and we were not disappointed. They are very professional, and more importantly caring. They took the time to understand our needs and really learn what was important to us. Drew would scout the listings and tell us details of the houses we saw. He was very knowledgeable about the market in the Penninsula area, which is key in this crazy market. Drew is a very realistic person and was very practical about placing bids on houses. The paperwork process was mostly handled by Christine, who is super-organized. They definitely add the “personal” touch and are completely dedicated to the clients they take on. I found Drew & Christine on the internet, and after reading their reviews, I decided to include them in my list of agents to interview. I chose what appeared to be the two outstanding agents in the area. I interviewed Drew and Christine after the first agent and literally handed them the keys to the home right there. Their presentation was impressive, to say the least. They seem to have perfected selling homes, but the execution is the reason I am taking the time to write this review. I was an absentee seller, so Drew and Christine handled all of the home preparations as well. Drew and Christine did everything they said they were going to do—and more. At one point, they suggested that we remove a dead tree in neighbor’s yard to open up the view. Drew said that he’d go and negotiate with the neighbor to allow us to remove the tree. He negotiated with two of the neighbors and convinced them to split the cost three ways! All of their marketing material was top notch, but it was the end negotiations that really capped off the experience. I came down to the Bay Area on the day of the offers, and calculated that I’d be spending the night during negotiations. To my surprise, they had already negotiated with the other agents to get everybody up to their final and highest price—netting me an additional $65,000. All I had to do was sign the papers and go home that same day. Would I hire them again? You bet. They more than paid for themselves. Thank you Drew and Christine for a seamless experience!
Drew and Christine sold our house for us in San Carlos this year. And when I say "sold," I really mean it -- we were absentee sellers from the beginning, having moved out of state already. Drew masterfully oversaw the coordination of numerous contractors and workers to help get our house in tip-top shape prior to sale. Moreover, he proposed a later sale timeframe rather than an earlier one, to help us maximize our results. All the other agents we spoke with pressured us to list and sell immediately, in the slower season. Drew brought hard data to the table, and lots of it, to help us make a smarter decision -- and one that was not in his own direct, best interest. When we had a minor disaster during our open house, Drew once again stepped up and got things done. Meanwhile, Christine ran all the paperwork and logistics behind the scenes for us, shepherding the whole transaction from end to end. We highly recommend Drew and Christine.
