For Doug Ward, the path to real estate as a career began with envisioning a better way to serve clients. "In the beginning, I never chose to be a realtor... I saw a problem, and fought to create a solution." He quit a traditional 9-5 job, found his passion and affinity in real estate, and has never looked back.
Doug grew up in a family business and gained his work ethic from observation and participation. “From a young age, I was blessed to be taught the values of money, entrepreneurship, and sacrifice through hard work,” he says. He also learned that the first step
in a successful business relationship is earning, and gaining trust. He sees being in real estate is an opportunity to help others create wealth and financial security for themselves and their families -- and to those who choose him as an agent, he commits to honoring that trust through honesty, active communication, and perseverance to seeing the transaction through. And long after the transaction, Doug continues to be a resource for his clients, seeing them as ‘family’ and remaining part of their lives. “I want people to remember me as someone who used my knowledge to make a positive impact on others,” he says.
Doug strives to understand the life story and individual needs of each client: “If I have the pleasure of working for you, I will always ask you - why?" By getting to know you and your goals, we can work on a unique, detailed strategy, to make sure you succeed.”
When Doug is not talking with clients, doing showings and marketing, you can find him at the gym, golfing, trading stocks, checking out new restaurants and spending time with loved ones – or even cooking a gourmet meal for them! (Fun fact: Doug spent a year in culinary school and loves cooking).
