Now the long version. We began our interest for property around Lake CDA on a trip here from Texas in August 2020. After we returned home, somehow, luckily, we came across Desiree when we expressed interest in a listed property. She took great care of us, answering questions, contacting the listing agent, and guiding us. We had no agreement in place. She did this extra work because that’s the type of realtor she is. We did not buy that property but chose Desiree as our realtor. After a few months of looking, we found the property (land) we wanted. Because we were remote, Desiree and her husband trekked to the property, climbed up the sheer undeveloped land and took pictures and videos for us so we could feel comfortable with the selection. Then she helped find a county representative to answer some other important questions. Finally, she helped get the sale closed quickly. If that wasn’t enough, she sent US a thank you gift! We met Desiree through our online search for homes in the Post Falls/Coeur d'Alene area. Being unsure if this was the area we wanted to relocate to, we flew to Coeur d'Alene to explore the area and meet her. She listened to us and discussed what we could expect in northern Idaho. We visited several properties which helped us to further narrow our selection criteria for a new home. From this we found a home that we liked and that meet our needs. We made an offer which we subsequently withdrew after a home inspection found too many issues with the house that were not evident during our walk through. Desiree went back to looking for a property for us and shortly thereafter found one which we liked. We returned to Coeur d'Alene specifically to look at the property, liked what we saw and placed an offer on it. After a couple of weeks of negotiations, that deal fell through when the sellers refused to extend the closing date when our mortgage closing date was delayed due to a delay in obtaining a required appraisal. Not to be deterred, Desiree continued looking for us and arranged for a virtual tour of a property we had already seen but forgotten about when we had seen other properties that had we liked better. Seeing it again, we realized that it would work quite well for us and was closer to family members who had just moved to Spokane Valley. An offer was made, accepted, and we closed just before Christmas. Throughout the entire buying process, Desiree demonstrated an outstanding knowledge of the area, what was available, and quality contractors. She also was encouraging when challenges happened. We strongly recommend her to anyone interested in buying property in the Post Falls/Coeur d'Alene area.
