Unfortunately our experience with Deanna at Town Square Realty was at best disappointing. After nicely staging the house, the effort just seemed to languish with little visible activity to promote the property. Even though the house was ready and available for listing before the Memorial Day weekend, it wasn’t listed for over two weeks later due to waiting on the video to be developed for the listing website. In that time lost, several more houses came on the market, increasing the competition we faced. We didn’t get the feeling that Deanna was marketing the property as aggressively as she could have. In the two plus months that the house ended up being on the market, other than a few agent caravans, Deanna only held one open house… on a Thursday evening. Possibly due to being an extremely hot day, or the fact that vista schools all started that day, sadly no one showed up to look at it. We may have had more exposure if there had been some weekend open houses, when it seems most people go looking. But given our lack of expertise in real estate sales, we deferred to Deanna’s experience and recommendations. Deanna could have also kept us more up-to-date on the status of things over the two and a half months. Other than the automated showing notifications, and document review/signature requests from her support companies, we had little contact with her. Usually we had to initiate the contact to get status and find out what we needed to do, especially during escrow. Since our main goal was to divest ourselves of the property, and the lack of any apparent serious activity, we reluctantly accepted an offer $15K less than our desired amount. We will always question whether perhaps with a more assertive, involved agent, we might have achieved our goal. We don’t feel we can recommend this company for your real estate needs.
