When I knew I was going to look for a home in Portland, I only called one agent. I knew Deanna from personal / friendship interactions and trusted her.
She focused in on what I said I wanted, and was happy to show me any properties I was interested in. We looked at several before I saw "the one". She always talked with me about each property afterwards and honed in on my needs, or quirks and non-negotiables. She got to know what I was willing to bend on, and what I couldn't live without.
I wanted to see a house that already had an offer on it. As I drove under the canopy of mature trees on the street and pulled up in front of the house, I had such a good feeling about it. The neighborhood was quiet, with a quaint vibe. I saw several kids out, and people walking dogs and kids in strollers.
We went in, and I fell in love with the place. It was the perfect size, with a giant backyard and move-in ready. Since there was already an offer in, Deanna explained the process to me. It was a hot market at that time, and second offers were not typically entertained. However, we got all the paperwork ready and in, just in case. We got the news that the first offer was not responding, so my offer was considered. Yay!
There was so much complication with my homebuying process, including needing a conventional loan after being pre-approved for FHA, and Deanna helped me understand it all and kept my stress minimal. Her communication was always timely, thoughtful, thorough and honest. I appreciated her connections in the industry and felt very comfortable even navigating this huge, and awkward process.
Her personal touches at closing, her attitude, and her knowledge we all invaluable.
I adore my cute little house, but if I ever decide to sell, Deanna will be my first phone call.
