Dear Prospective Homeowners: It is my great pleasure to recommend Dawn Gurganus as a real estate agent for any individual or family searching for the ideal home, or hoping to sell a home. After 12 years in my wonderful home in Alexandria, VA , it was time to downsize and move on. (Dawn was also my agent when I purchased this home as well as on the sale of my previous home.) Dawn spent a lot of time determining what I needed to do to give my home the best look for a prospective buyer and worked closely with me to make that happen. To be honest, my house had a lot of difficult and moving parts (a pool!) that needed a lot of attention, and she was with us every step of the way. During this time, Dawn also helped me find a new home to rent in the area—holding my hand throughout the process of saying goodbye to my beloved home (which wasn’t always easy--I had my less than stellar moments) and settling into something new. She is highly talented technologically and made excellent use of the relevant search engines and real estate databases to both list my home and help me find a temporary location to rent. I found Dawn to be a master with the contract negotiations, she came up with a deal that was good for me and that made the buyer happy as well, which was no easy feat given the current market situation in my area. Dawn works hard and is a highly attentive agent, almost as if was her only customer (although I know that was not the case). She returned all phone calls and emails the same day. I never felt neglected or unimportant. She is also highly personable with an engaging personality! Humor got us through a few unexpected surprises. :) I am pleased to recommend Dawn Gurganus to anyone looking to buy or sell a home.
