TL;DR David, Tom, and the Schlichter Team are experts at what they do, providing great customer service, excellent communication, and phenomenal market knowledge. Use them if you're buying or selling. We closed our dream home and sold a home within 8 days of each other, thanks to them. Full review: We worked with Tom for many months for our very specific house hunt in the very hot Denver market. He was always early for showings, quick to communicate with us, and provided us with timely updates after we put in offers. After seeing how challenging the market was, we almost offered on a house that we weren't very enthusiastic about. Tom noticed this in our voices and advised us against offering because it wasn't the right fit for us, even though our offer likely would have won. This is a sign of true integrity and customer service in a real estate agent, and we are so grateful for his guidance and care. As a result, we later ended up in a phenomenal property that checked all of our boxes, under list price. As sellers, David (and his colleague Lauren!) were a dream to work with. They brought in a stellar photographer who made our home shine. They answered our questions at all hours. David's market insight proved invaluable, as he suggested we try to list a week earlier than our original plan in order to get ahead of a predicted wave of listings. He was right. We had 70+ showings, 12 offers, and closed in 11 days. We are grateful to this team - especially after a sub-par experience with a different agent at a different company - and enthusiastically recommend them!
The Schlichter Team understands home buying isn’t just financial. It’s also emotional. We’ve used this group on three transactions and all three have been incredibly successful on both accounts. In brief: the Schlichter Team is great. You can trust them to guide you through the most important purchase (or sale) of your life. Tom, who was our buyer’s agent, gave us a frank assessment of the market and was honest with us when he thought a home was overpriced. We almost went under contract on one house, but got cold feet. Tom was unfazed. The Schlichter Team would rather see you happy than see you make a deal. When we did find our dream home, David’s advice on how to leverage our assets and strategic offer ensured that we went under contract the second day the house was on the market. When it was time to sell the condo we bought with David in 2016, the Schlichter Team’s strategy led to multiple offers over asking price within days. David negotiated with several buyers. Before using the Schlichter Team, we had sold two homes with other agents. Neither worked as hard as David to make sure we got the absolute best deal and terms for the sale. With his help, we ultimately sold the condo at a 45 percent return with a free rent back. During all three transactions, David and Tom let us know all of our options, but never pushed a decision on us. And when we needed them to use their judgment for us, they did. The purchase of our house and sale of our condo coincided with an incredibly stressful and sad time in our lives: the death of an immediate family member. I've done two deals with David and his team and every single one was a great experience. David adds a personal touch as an agent. When I had to bring my infant daughter to closing, he tenderly held her with her while I made her bottle. Initially worked with David and his team with the purchase of our first home 2 years ago. We decided to purchase a new build this fall and used David and his team to sell our current condo and assist with the purchase of the new build. Despite needing to quickly sell our condo, COVID, etc we were able to close the deal within 30days as required for the new build. David presented various marketing strategies to us to get the deal done. He responded quickly and effectively and we were very informed throughout the entire process. He was able to work out a deal so that we wouldn't have to move twice which is a total bonus! We have been working with Elizabeth throughout the process of the new build which will hopefully be completed next spring!
We just completed our fourth transaction with The Schlichter Team to sell our home in Evergreen and once again we could not have been happier with the way the entire process went.
