I spent my life working and sharing with people. Born and raised in Southern California.
While working as a paperboy (yes there used to be a daily newspaper delivered to your door), I paid and started learning to fly at age 15. Got to Solo on my 16th Birthday and went on to get my licenses and became an instructor. How many of you have heard of a Frisbee? Well the gentleman who invented it, Walt Morrison was a student of mine. And when he saw my love for doing aerobatics he sponsored me with an airplane so I could run my own aerobatics school and compete. It is most gratifying training others how to fly airplanes.
What does this have to do with real estate? This is where I learned to listen closely and be aware of the student’s questions and the emotions that drive them. Then break each lesson into simple terms that match their background. Now I take that patience and attention to details in helping my clients buying and selling real estate. I’m always looking for ways to improve the marketing of my clients properties. “You’ve got to Stand Out and make it Fun! And you Must include your clients in the process every step of the way”.
Do you know the song “To the Wild Country,” by John Denver? In it there is a line that says, “then my hearts turns to Alaska and freedom on the run. I can hear her spirit calling me.” At age 24, I bought a One-Way ticket to Alaska. Took one suitcase, my guitar and my logbooks and $850 to my name. The Dream was to see and fly in Alaska. Well that dream gave me 13 years of beautiful things to see and do. By doing that I really learned “to look at things from a different angle,” That way you enjoy it more and you will figure out a way to make things happen.
Giving back to the others is IMPORTANT! Twenty eight years ago I started and continue to coordinate and run the Gig Harbor Thanksgiving Basket Brigade. We provide food baskets to families in need anonymously every year. Our first year we fed 12 families with 8 of us working together. We now average 1,580 baskets each year feeding 6,500-7,500 people each Thanksgiving. And with the help of 450+ volunteers. I’m proud to be a Past President of the Gig Harbor Rotary Club and still very active. And I love to spend time with my wife, dog and 2 cats and blue and gold macaw.
I look forward to helping you find your Dreams!
