We first met David when he had listed a couple of other homes on our street. We attended those open houses and were impressed with his knowledge of the area as well as the details of the homes and his professionalism. He asked for honest feedback on those homes during the open houses and we gave it to him. We noticed he hosted several open houses on those homes (which many realtors don't seem to like to do, or assign to an assistant). And both houses sold very quickly in an increasingly tough market. So when it came time that we needed to sell our home, we never considered any other realtor, even though we had worked with other NE realtors in the past. David was very communicative throughout the process, from letting us know exactly what we did (and didn't) need to get done before listing our home (he was spot-on and suggested actions we hadn't thought of), to the actual listing process and through the offer and final sale. He was great about sharing feedback he received on our home from potential buyers who viewed it. Our home went pending in one week, at our asking price. And through the inspection period and closing of the sale, David was helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone selling a home in the inner NE Portland area. He is definitely a gem.

David is not only knowledgeable about the market and neighborhood, things you would expect from an agent; but he goes beyond expectations in managing the whole experience. He is personable, courteous, and puts in the extra time and effort to make sure everything is just right.

David Backholer was fantastic Realtor to work with in order to sell my home. He kept on top of all the many details, provided expert advise on getting my house ready to sell, helped find contractors to do the work and knew the market well in order to price the house to sell. David helped in any way he could to make the process smooth and successful. He even went down to the courthouse to pick up last minute docs required by the lender while I was out of town on vacation. However the real proof of his stellar service is the facts. We had an offer in 5 days (I thought it would take a few weeks) and my house sold higher then I thought it would go for.
