We were looking to buy an equestrian property near Houston and didn't know where to start! We've always lived "in the city" and really needed help from someone with experience evaluating properties that would be good for keeping horses, not so remote that we felt isolated, and would be a good financial value. Dana brought all that to the table for us! As a fellow horse owner and rider, she knew what I was looking for in a barn and pasture. She quickly learned what style home we wanted and she was very patient with us as we looked at different areas of town to figure out which one would be the best fit for the lifestyle we wanted. She helped us understand which areas and properties were better suited for keeping a horse with considerations like property drainage, safety and security. In the end, we got the perfect place! A great home, yard and pool for us, a lovely yard for our dogs, a great space for our chickens and veggie garden, and a lovely barn and pasture for our horses. Everyone that's been here agrees it is a "piece of heaven." And we're only 30 miles from Houston. The transaction was a little interesting with lease back provisions, a seller traveling out of country, non realty property purchases for farm equipment, an HOA, and inspections that were new for us - like a water well, septic system and a pickleball court - what?! But, Dana navigated all of that like the professional she is. After the transaction we saw some even more interesting things when the seller's choice of title companies messed up the property tax payments. But, again, Dana was there to help us get that all sorted out too. No doubt that she earned her commission AND MORE on this deal! But, most important, we also gained a new friend - and a riding buddy for me! My sweet horse will be moving into her new barn and pasture soon and one of the first things she'll see is a sweet gift from Dana saying "Welcome home, Haven!"
