I wanted to select a broker that identified as a woman of color, as I myself am a woman of color, because I wanted to know that I could work with someone with that lived experience and cultural competence. I trusted Dalia's expertise throughout the entire process. I appreciated that Dalia sent us documents and then requested a call to go over them because they are tedious documents. I could tell she had our best interests at heart by her laying out many options, including pros and cons, and I never felt as though she was rushing or pushing us to make decisions. During escrow, I appreciated her contacts with termite companies, inspection companies, etc to facilitate the inspection process and ensure we understood any concerns with the property before we removed all contingencies. I felt comfortable voicing my concerns/questions with the property/seller/etc knowing she took them to heart and would help me answer/problem solve to the best of her ability and help me do additional research when she did not know the answer. Dalia was very professional and available at all times. I credit the smooth close of escrow to her diligence and determination. I have heard horror stories, especially considering the present market, so I braced myself but was able to avoid all of that in large part due to Dalia's expertise. Even the seller commented on how pleased he was with Dalia's work. In my eyes, she also went above and beyond because she was able to negotiate the seller to provide us a credit, which is no easy feat in this market. This was my first home purchase and although it was difficult to make time due to my busy schedule, it went smoothly overall so I am very content with it. Dalia was an excellent help to my wife and I as first time buyers and felt that she performed above and beyond what realtor should do. She gave us great financial advice that lead my wife and I on buying a Condo. At first we were having some trouble trying to secure a loan since at the time my wife was living in a different state. In the end they wouldn't approve us untill my wife had a letter of transfer from her employer. We arrived at a point where we were told to give up on buying by the loan officer. My wife and I were going to back out on our purchase but Dalia came to the rescue and refered us to a different lender that gave us the approval.
