Curtis is a true pro....he came in early before we were ready to sell and helped us get organized. We even took the pics months before we listed. When the timing was right to put our home on the market, we were confident and ready. The house sold quickly (4 days). We had multiple offers, and Curtis helped us select the most appropriate buyer. The prep/timing was extremely important as chaos was about to ensue with the coronavirus. Curtis was a true consultant in that he helped provide a vision and then we pretty much executed it seamlessly. Plus, his demeanor is such that he helps keep everyone calm in the process...something that is probably under appreciated when you are considering a realtor. At first, we planned to sell our house with the help of the buyers agent, but it showed quickly that she wasn’t up to the challenge of representing both parties involved. So we are fortunate to have found Curtis who from the initial contact all the way to closing executed the whole process professionally and with the utmost attention to our needs and any questions or concerns we had no matter how trivial or unorthodox they seemed. He came into an already ongoing negotiation where the buyers had already be in place as our previous renters. He was able to put the process into the right perspective that made sense and was convincing to the buyers. He then went out of his way to guide both parties involved from opening escrow to final closing, and he made absolutely 100% sure the house sale was actually happening despite some major obstacles on the buyers side. We recommend Curtis highly to anybody who needs someone who is experienced, local, truly knowledgable about Carlsbad and the North county real estate market, and performs at the highest professional level. The only regret, we truly wish we had known Curtis years before (when our more than dishonest property manager at the time wrecked major financial havoc). Curtis is very responsive and make no mistake he really worked hard for us, although the commission in our case was likely not very attractive to him. Mr. Curtis Knopp was our buying agent. He was courteous, very responsive and knowledgeable on subject matter. We bought the house we were looking for and we were extremely satisfied with the professional service he rendered during the course of our real estate transaction. The most impressive thing is that his service doesn't stop at close of escrow. He once said that he is "realtor for life", he proved it. Our A/C stop working in the middle of the summer. We called the home warranty company and started the lengthy and complicated process. It was not concluded before our multi-month business trip. When Curtis knew the situation, he told us that he would take care of it. He took over the case, negotiated and coordinated the whole claim process. He spent hours to accommodate the inspections and installation of new A/C while we are out of town. There are no words can express how much we appreciated his help which was way beyond the real estate contract. It was a huge relive for us by knowing that we can count on him to get the new A/C installed even though we could not be home at that time. Mr. Knopp's professionalism and client oriented service will definitely earn his future businesses. I didn't want to use an agent. I'd sold my last two houses on my own, but due to contingency I had to have an agent. In general, I've questioned the value of real estate agents in general in our online world. Well Curtis completely changed my perspective, although I think he is the exception and not the rule. Curtis has incredible knowledge of the market, an amazaing attitude, very responsive and reachable any time day or night, and the guy worked. I mean literally, he came over and helped clean up the backyard and get rid of some trash. If you need an agent, I cant recommend a better one. Thanks so much Curtis for your help and hard work.
12/30/16; An update to the review I left previously (below). We recently went through Curtis to find and purchase another property, this time Carlsbad. As we experiencing previously, Curtis was hard working and dedicated to finding us the home were looking for, which we did find and are currently now in. Curtiss also very helpful with his wide list of connections to repair professionals if needed. He makes the home buying experience seem as if he were a business partner. We highly recommend him. I highly recommend Curtis for his clear dedication to you as his client. I used Curtis as my realtor when purchasing a home in few years back. He was very dedicated and made me feel that client service was very important to him. I recently sold that home using a different realtor (my wife agreed with a realtor/friend to let that person handle the deal). This other realtor was terrible at her job (represented the buyer and us - the sellers - and often left us feeling that she was not on our side, herding and flyers showed up on the post in our yard the day after the final offer was made, and many more) and made me understand what having a good realtor working for you is worth everything.
As a first time home buyer, I had LOTS of questions and Curtis was patient, thorough and confidence instilling in his reply's. My wife and I had been searching for the right home for awhile and when we went to the open house, we knew THIS WAS THE ONE! We called Curtis and he took action right away and we got it! We felt like he worked very hard for us even though our price range would not be very lucrative for him. A huge plus if you are buying a home that needs work like ours, is that Curtis has a guy for everything. Just ask and moments later, Curtis will give you a referral or two and so far, all of the bids for work that we need on our house are very good. Curtis also manages properties in the area, so he knows very well who the best contractors, plumbers, handymen, etc are. We feel very lucky to have had him as our realtor. Curtis was a great agent for us to work with, our time with Curtis was short because we sold the house so fast. He helped us price the house so we felt we were getting what we needed to move on and we would also attract the right buyers. Curtis's attention to detail with the staging and photo shoot were hands down what made this deal happen so quickly.
