Craig Criger – Associate Broker
Craig Criger grew up in Wyoming and Colorado before moving to Grove, Oklahoma, in 1972, where he completed junior high and high school, graduating in 1977. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University, studying Business Administration, and served as a Cowboy football manager under Coach Jim Stanley and later Coach Jimmy Johnson.
After college, Craig worked on the 42-inch Northern Border natural gas pipeline, which took him to North Dakota, where he met his wife, Susan. After years of travel, they returned to Grove to start a family. Craig joined the Towry Company and played a key role in developing multiple subdivisions, including Buffalo Shores, Buffalo Shores North, Buffalo Shores III, and Wildwood Farms.
His growing interest in real estate led him to work with Chuck and Victoria Perry at Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate, where he enjoyed three successful years. He later returned to developing to help start the Melody Point subdivision before launching his own ventures. Craig and Susan purchased a lawn maintenance business—still operating today under their son—and partnered with Chuck Perry to develop Cherokee Trails, where he also built homes.
During a downturn in the housing market, Craig became an insurance adjuster, traveling extensively once again, until the position of Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds for the City of Grove became available. He retired from the City of Grove in December 2025 after 16 years of service.
Now, Craig is excited to begin a new chapter, returning to real estate with Chuck and Victoria at RE/MAX Grand Lake in Grove, Oklahoma.
