For over 20 years, I’ve known that in Colorado’s growing market being just a realtor and understanding the residential market doesn’t cut it. Today’s buyer deserves more and must understand more, so I’ve worked hard to be more than a realtor. From the beginning, I’ve believed that real estate is the single best investment that a person can make. I believe this for my clients, and I’ve practiced this personally by investing in many Denver Metro-area neighborhoods.
My clients regularly say “Coupar cares more about my money than I do,” and I take this as the highest compliment, because it is true. My clients trust in me is an honor, so I return that trust with a dedication to understanding all facets of the real estate market including lending, property development, and lead-based paint and asbestos testing. Since 1998, I’ve been a mortgage broker, which has been welcome expertise for my clients when supporting their personal and financial goals.
One might say that my financial savviness is in my roots. My father sat on the Federal Reserve Board and my name hails from a Scottish town known for being prudent with one’s pennies. However, my friends have nicknamed me “coupon,” and dubbed my name Coupar a verb, “to Coup it into a concert” means to take in your own food & beverage. Being focused on finances is in my blood and comes naturally.
When I’m not telling people how to make sound financial decisions through real estate , I enjoy making my wife laugh and telling my two cheeky daughters how to save for the future. Weekly, I can be seen honing my competitive spirit by playing one of my favorite sports: tennis, pickleball, Ultimate Frisbee, golfing, or billiards. During the winter, I adore Colorado’s mountains and snowboard regularly. I love snowboarding so much that I taught snowboarding part time at Beaver Creek Resort for 13 years from 2007-2020.
