In June of 2020, we presented Colleen Lingle with the perfect storm- out of state property owners with a rental house in Hanover that we were anxious to sell, in the middle of a raging covid pandemic, with a tenant who used every means at their disposal to block the sale. Not allowing showings was the least of the tactics they used to ensure that their extremely advantageous (to them) rental scenario would continue indefinitely. Undeterred, Colleen soldiered on, and in October of last year she successfully sold our house, again with covid and our living hundreds of miles away presenting difficult and unforeseen challenges, as well as having to negotiate strategy with an exchange broker in California as the sale was a 1031 exchange to avoid capital gains.
