After working with Colin in a complex 1031 exchange, he is definitely the later. Colin represented us on the purchase of one of the replacement properties of our 1031 exchange. Our purchase offer was contingent on the sale of the relinquish property, which can be a hindrance in a seller market where multiple offers are common. He made helpful suggestions that strengthen our offer in the eyes of the seller and help us secure the winning bid. On the communication front, Colin worked effectively with both the selling agent of our relinquish property and the selling agent of the replacement property. In addition, he maintained effective communication with the selling agent of a property our replacement property seller made an offer on based on our sale agreement. It was obvious that there were a lot of parties involved and a lot of contingencies. If there was any hiccup, there would be ripple effects across all the transactions. Sure enough, there were complications. I’m not going to bore you with the details. Just know that Colin was able to communicate with all the parties involved, smoothed out the bumps on the road, and we were able to close all transactions.
