Selling my home in the midst of a crazy market and a Category 1 Hurricane hitting Augusta, GA.

Chris came recommended from my mother who had been an agent with Meybohm for over 16 years. She worked alongside him for a couple years. The thing about Chris is not only is he a real estate agent, he is the weekend Meteorologist for the largest news team in Augusta, GA. When I decided I wanted to move to North Augusta, SC I quickly made a decision back in September of 2024 to list my house in Grovetown, GA. I contacted Chris on a Tuesday letting him know that I would like to list the property and by Friday afternoon he had a photographer in the house taking pictures and the listing was online by Saturday afternoon. Talk about a quick turn around time. Chris' marketing of the home both online and on social media was absolutely superb. Chris had one open house and we had only (7) showings before we had a buyer from Costa Rica moving to the area who signed a contract to purchase the home. Days later, Hurricane Helene hit Augusta. Luckily my newer property did not sustain any major damage. However, Chris quickly notified me that the buyer would like a post storm roof inspection report before closing to ensure no shingle damage/major roof repair to the residence. As this was needed, Chris communicated with me and negotiated with the buyer's agent a week extension on closing to make this happen and cater to the buyer's arrival in the U.S. from Costa Rica. We were able to handle the logistics and get the inspection scheduled before closing which showed no major damage to the home and only a couple of shingles that were needed and were replaced. In such a serious situation and natural catastrophe I'm happy to say that Chris' spectacular communication with the buyer's agent and me kept us in the loop, on time, and ultimately all repairs were made before closing. At the end of the day, Chris is super professional, super communicative, easy to work with, and an agent I will continue to work with through the years.
