My client was the trustee of her friend's trust...
My client was the trustee of her friend's trust. When her friend passed away, my client had to sell the trust's primary asset, a house in Woodside. My client, who is in her 70s, never owned a home and had no experience in selling real estate, so it was important for her to have a realtor who was trustworthy, responsive to her questions, able to communicate with her in plain English, and who was trustworthy.
Chris exemplified all of the foregoing qualities. He walked my client through the details of the process, and communicated directly with me about those matters that my client entrusted to me, her attorney.
Chris arranged for the necessary inspections and for certain cosmetic work to make the house presentable for sale. He knew the sales picture in the area, kept abreast of local market trends, and provided updates on showings of the house. The market for realty in this area of Woodside and this house's price range had softened somewhat by the time the house was put on the market, Chris did not recommend that my client accept the first offer she received. Rather, because the first offer was less than ideal, Chris recommended that she counter-offer, assuring her that another offer would come in if the counter-offer was not accepted. Sure enough, the counter-offer was not accepted, but another couple made an offer that was substantially better than the first, and well within the price my client had hoped to get.
If you are a client who wants a realtor who is responsive, knowledgeable, willing to explain matters to you in plain English, and trustworthy, you should give Chris Iverson a call.
