Ours was an out-of-state real estate purchase. We live in New York and just bought a winter place in central Florida. Dealing almost exclusively by phone and Facetime during our search, Cheryl listened carefully to what we were looking for and worked hard to find us just that. She kept in frequent communication with us as homes came on the market and did a couple of FaceTime home tours with us before we found the home we bought. Cheryl knows the central Florida real estate market and property buying process in Florida very well and answered our countless questions about the process. She was an excellent negotiator for us, working hard with the seller's agent to get us the property we wanted for the best possible price in the fast-moving real estate market. She was in communication with us sometimes several times a day as negotiations were going back and forth. She always followed up with e-mails so we had everything in writing. One important quality I'd like to emphasize about Cheryl is that when she told us she was going to call, or e-mail, check on something, get us a name of a home inspector, schedule a roofing company to give an estimate on roof replacement, she actually did it and got back to us promptly. We were never sitting here in New York wondering what in the world is going on with our transaction in Florida. As soon as she learned of an update, she called us. This really kept the ball rolling. We did get to meet her in person when we went down to be present for the home inspection, she came to the house and went through everything with us. She is professional, personable, and it is obvious she knows what she is doing. Her demeanor both via phone transactions and in person exudes confidence, she definitely knows Florida real estate, but at the same time we never felt like she was just trying to sell us any old house just to make a sale, she searched diligently until the right one came up.
