CHERIE DABDOUB

Cherie is an amazing agent. I generally dislike house hunting, in part because it is a process filled with uncertainties, trap doors, and self-interested actors. The most important thing you can do as a homebuyer is find yourself an agent you can trust will give you frank and honest advice, even if it might be against her interests. Cherie is that kind of agent. She cares about her clients, deploys years of knowledge about the local real estate market to guide them in their home buying decisions, tells it to you straight, and will fight to get you what you need. She is also a hard worker, and highly responsive. As soon as you hire her, she will have a list of carefully curated homes ready for you to tour, and she will steer you away from properties she knows will be a waste of your time. Once you have a home under contract, that is where Cherie really takes it to the next level as an agent. In my case, she scheduled and attended all inspections, and carefully reviewed each inspection report, highlighting for me the areas that most needed my attention. She coordinated repair quotes, insurance quotes, and pestered my lender to move the process forward. She advised me on repairs she thought I should require from the Seller, even when she knew it might sink the deal or threaten her commission. For example, after she dug through all the inspection reports, she advised me to ask the Seller to fully replace the home’s HVAC system. This was a $20K ask of the Seller, but she explained to me why it was in my best interest and convinced me to make it, knowing it might mean we would need to walk away from the deal if the Seller refused. She fought hard for the HVAC concession, and she got it. I closed on my new home faster than I ever have before—it was just five weeks from my first tour to when I closed on the house. I am incredibly thankful I had Cherie by my side throughout this process, will absolutely use her again, and I highly recommend her as your real estate agent.
