I used Bryan to buy a house in 2007 and had a positive experience so I contacted him in 2016 to sell the house. Although the end result of my house selling for an acceptable price in an acceptable timeframe was realized, the process was less than desirable. The initial agreement for Bryan to sell the house included my ex wife's name (I was married to her when I bought the house so I'll give Bryan a break on this error). I corrected Bryan but my ex's name showed up on paperwork by mistake 3 or 4 more times resulting in a redo of the paperwork. Communication was poor throughout the process. If I asked a question, I generally had to follow up 2 or 3 times to get a response. I had to initiate conversations. The house went for 2 weeks without a showing and I had to call Bryan to start the discussion on whether to lower the price or if it was just a slow Real Estate market. I had to call to get feedback from showings. Bryan never showed the house. All showings were from other agents. And finally, there was a problem at closing. I am remarried but my current wife's name is not on any of the paperwork. I showed up at the closing and was told that my wife had to sign paperwork based on IL laws. It would have been nice if Bryan, the real estate expert, told me that ahead of time. This resulted in my wife having to drive 3+ hours roundtrip from where we moved to sign closing documents. Bryan's "guarantee" apparently does not exist anymore. I was continually giving him feedback about problems during the selling process and I told him I didn't believe he earned his full commission. I did not even get a reduced commission let alone the "full refund" his guarantee promises. I would not recommend using Bryan to represent you in buying or selling your house.
