I originally met Brooke through a mutual friend that knew I wanted to move out of my large house on 5 acres, but didn’t know how to downsize and how to purchase a new home without first selling the old one. I had been watching for available homes in two Stanwood neighborhoods where many of my friends from my church live. I saw a home listed on Zillow in Candle Ridge. It was two doors down from a very good friend that had just recently moved there so I knew the neighborhood well. I called Brooke and she arranged a showing the next morning. I loved it! My friend loved it! Brooke lived it! We saw it on Wednesday. On Thursday, Brooke arranged a meeting with Stacey Morton from Evergreen Home Loans. She took all my financial information and got me set up with a Bridge Loan. Brooke and I made an offer on the house on Friday. There was an open house on Saturday where at least two other offers were made (one was a cash offer) but on Saturday evening my offer was accepted. I am not sure what Brooke said in the letter she submitted with my offer, but I give Brooke full credit for my offer being accepted. Then, packing began! The new house was set to close 8/15/24, and I had approximately 30 days after closing to put my old house on the market. I rented a storage unit and Brooke and her husband Dusty helped me move some things into it. Brooke would have been at my old house every day helping pack if I would let her…and I should have let her. Brooke and Dusty brought a trailer over and hauled away yard trimmings and garbage as we cleaned up the property and packed the house. Brooke helped me set up an Estate Sale, junk removal for what didn’t sell and I couldn’t take, and a cleaning service for once I had everything out. Brooke and Dusty did some minor repairs needed to make it more attractive for sale, put in new smoke detectors and anything else required by the inspection. My husband died 10 years ago and I honestly could not have made this move without Brooke’s amazing help
