On November 7, 2016, Brenda achieved the major milestone in her career of obtaining her Associate Broker license. An Associate Broker is a person who has taken education beyond the agent level as required by State laws and has passed the broker's license exam. An Associate Broker chooses to work under the management of another broker, and in Brenda’s case she works under Broker Mark Davis of RE/MAX One. She earned the Graduate, Realtor Institute (GRI) designation, a nationally recognized professional designation and the #1 leading designation in the real estate industry. It is also the pre-requisite to becoming an Associate Broker. To obtain the designation, she received comprehensive training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards and the sales process. Her increased knowledge, skill & professionalism are distinguishing factors enabling her to better serve her customers and clients. Additionally, this training provides educational credit toward Maryland's Broker Exam, which includes fair housing, agency, finance, business development, ethical conduct & laws affecting business practice & procedures in order to strengthen ones skills in business. Brenda has been in the real estate industry since 1986 and has experience processing settlements, abstracting titles and recording legal documents. She is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), in which she provides buyer representative expertise in today's competitive market and has in depth knowledge of the short sale process. She is also a Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) which has enhanced her performance. Brenda has not only been committed to her career in the real estate industry. She is a devoted wife of 30 years and loving mother of 3 children, a West Highland Terrier and a Savannah Cat. She is a native Marylander and spent 12 years in Upper Marlboro where she taught Sunday School at Trinity Episcopal Church and served as Upper Marlboro Pitch Coach and Baseball Commiss
