It was meant to be! My husband and I had been looking at cabins in Western NC and had decided to go look at the outside of a house for sale in Deep Gap, because I had not been contacted by a realtor even though I had sent repeated requests for a showing on a specific website. When we arrived, we found Beverly in her car waiting for a couple she would be showing the house to. She gave me her card and told me she would love to be able to assist us in finding the perfect home. There was another house in Warrensville that I had sent repeated requests to see, without results. I sent the information to Beverly and asked her if she was familiar with the cabin? She responded immediately and said she was very familiar with the home; that it was an absolutely lovely home and she would be very happy to show it to us. We were able to view it the very next day. It was exactly the house I had been looking for! We viewed it again the next day and put in an offer. Beverly had warned us that the main reason the house had not sold was because the seller would not budge one dollar from his asking price. This was very discouraging, as the most we could offer was $30,000 less than his asking price. The next day Beverly called me and said, "You're not going to believe this and I'm in shock. He said yes to your offer!" I literally screamed outloud. Several times! I owe getting this wonderful house completely to Beverly. Through out the entire process she was highly attentive to all our questions. She also shared good pertinent information regarding the area. She gave me information on electric, heating and AC, and internet service. She said, "If you ever have a question about anything, don't hesitate to call." I don't feel like I met a real-estate agent, I feel like I made a friend.
