Betty was referred to us by a long-standing Gilbert family friend, who utilized Betty's talents to sell their Gilbert home. Betty came well equipped for the interview, and demonstrated a good understanding of the local market, as well as provided valuable advice on preparing the property for sale.
Coming into the sale of our home, Betty was faced with and was able to overcome several challenges:
1. We had six siblings on the deed that she had to consider when expressing her strategies.
2. The house was over 100 years old, with no modern improvements, and was asked to sell the house as-is.
3. The house backs up to the railroad tracks and the frontage is Elliot Road.
4. She was also asked to find a home to purchase for one of the siblings that was residing in the house, who was also listed on the deed, and could not move until the house was sold.
5. A majority of the siblings on the deed were not familiar with the process and requirements of selling a home, so Betty spent a portion of her time explaining in great length the ins and outs of this process.
We gave Betty our listing price that in hindsight was very high, and with high expectations. Betty had a more realistic selling price in mind, however she agreed to list it as we requested. She contacted many potential buyers, who in-turn offered much lower than our requested listed price, however these offers weren't entirely off-base, based on the true market value for the listing.
