As a first-time homebuyer, I went into this process completely blind. I quickly discovered that this was not going to be a quick and easy process, and Barbara was there to guide me every step of the way. There was so much I had to be educated on and prepared for, such as the possibility of an appraisal gap and what the best strategies may be for me to land my dream home, and Barbara gave me the knowledge in ever single area. Barbara also always made herself available any time I wanted to tour a new house, which there were a handful in our 6-month span of searching. After quite a few rejections, she helped me come up with the best strategy and offer that we could put forward (while also ensuring I was protected in this offer) and my offer was finally accepted for my dream home! To say Barbara was a true gem during this chaotic housing market is an understatement. I began looking at homes in New Jersey and was referred to Barbara from a colleague of hers that knew she had an understanding of the area best, since it was outside of location he was in. It only took one meet up that we clicked and I knew she had my best interest at heart - my price range, location, bedrooms, style, etc. Even after losing multiple offers in this crazy house buying process, I went to see a home that I wasn’t completely excited about, but I was tired of the process and was on verge of making an offer. Barbara, her being who she is, knew this wasn’t my taste nor the kind of home I’d want, encouraged me not to settle and that the right home was out there. She could have easily said, “sure let’s do it” and closed on it - but keeping me in mind- she was the support I needed to keep looking and not give up. Well, I ended up in a beautiful place that is perfect. Barbara is not only one of the best real estate agents, but one of the kindest and most genuine soul I have come across.

Barbara is an absolute gem. Her understanding of the market was noticeable; however, what really set her apart from other agents whom I was working with is that she took the time to get to know me and my wants. She then combed through the available properties and sent a customized email to me on properties that she can sense were appealing to me... this may sound trivial but this was completely different from three other agents whom I worked with who had me sign into a database that would just send me properties that matched very rudimentary matches of what I was looking for such as (2 car garage, 2.5 baths, 3+ bedrooms, X miles from city). You can imagine the junk that came through my in-box each morning that matched the rudimentary criteria; I then combed through the large number of the self-evident lack of what I was looking for and checked off which properties I wanted to see as a first pass. Barbra, on the other hand, sent me customized emails and created lists of properties that were usually a good match on-line so it warranted an actual look; she already weeded out the junk. I noticed this difference from the very first engagement with her. 85-90% of what she sent warranted a live visit. I would highly recommend using Barbara because she actually takes the time to know you and your preferences versus asking you to check off from a list of junk properties that the realtor would just show up and open the door. Oh also, her calm demeanor was always appreciated.
