We were new to the Punta Gorda area and explained to Barbara’s what we were looking for. I don’t think she slept until we found the right one. She had our personal and financial interests in mind the entire journey. We had to return to Colorado and continue our search on line. She visited every house for us to look at over FaceTime, she was literally available to us 24 / 7. Barbara was amazing. Her knowledge of the area was excellent. Our offer was excepted in spite of there being multiple offers on the property. She recommended a great inspection company. They did a very thorough job. She connected me with an electrician and a company to repair the electrical storm shutters. Both provided quotes immediately within the inspection period.She negotiated a large credit back at closing for these repairs. We bought our first home with the aid and guidance of Barb (and Deb), an awesome duo that understood our needs and wants. We looked at many recommendations by the team, but one of the first houses we saw checked every box. Unfortunately, it quickly went into pending and we were forced to move on. Barb noted she would keep close eye on that home in case it goes back on the market, but we should continue our search. She understood our budget well and we spent a few months looking at alternate options. The thing that sets Barb apart from the rest was that true to her word, she kept in touch with the selling agent. She made sure we were ready and prepared when the prior sale fell through and before the house went back into the market again, we already had an offer placed with terms aligning to both party’s interests. A cherry on top is that despite the post-Covid housing price increase, the team negotiated the price to well below asking price. If it comes to it, we’d definitely seek out Barb for our next home.
