It has been 2 months since my fiancé and I bought our first home with the help of Wendy McCooey at ReMAX of Reading, and we couldn’t happier. Since day one, Wendy has been professional, friendly, amazingly helpful and extremely responsive, no matter what time of day (or night) my over-thinking mind came up with any random question. As noted above, this was the first time we had ever been through the home buying process. After getting approved for a mortgage, we were referred to Wendy by the ever helpful Jeff Sowers at Mortgage America- and the fun of the hunt began! Wendy was extremely patient with all of my questions, and was willing to travel a large geographical area in order to find us the home that suited our needs. She really took the time to get to know my fiancé and I as people, to help us find what we were looking for. One of the most important traits I love about Wendy was her honesty. While we were looking at houses (and we looked at quite a few), if there was something wrong with it, she let us know, even if it was something she noticed herself. I found that refreshing, since we were new to this experience, we weren't always able to pick out problems that may become bigger issues down the road. Once we found the perfect place, she was extremely quick at getting our bid in and keeping in close contact with the seller's agent to make sure all paperwork was completed in a timely manner. I was amazed at the speed of the process; it was barely a month from the first time we took a look at our new home to the date we closed. And Wendy's amazing service didn't stop there! She was even able to answer questions that came up after closing, all the time staying just as friendly and personable. I would recommend Wendy McCooey to anybody who is just starting out in the home buying process and needs that friendly guiding hand.
