Avis was professional and knowledgeable. Our place sold quickly. The only negative is that when we first met, she verbally indicated her commission would be 6 percent if there was a buyer's agent and 4 percent if she was the only agent. It ended up that there was no buyer's agent on our sale, she ended up taking 5 percent because her commission was "mistakenly" omitted from the listing contract I had signed. My mistake for not reading the listing contract more closely. I couldn't argue because it wasn't in the contract, but I thought that was a sneaky move. If you use Avis's services, just be sure to read your contracts closely.

We worked with Avis Swenson to purchase a condo in South Florida. We were in contact with her prior to our visit, so we had the opportunity to discuss with her on what we were looking for. She does really listen to her client’s preferences and quickly research potential listings according to those parameters. As we visited some units, she quickly figured out what we were looking for. She was very efficient to set up several visits in a very short period of time and group them geographically since our search area was quite large. Once we decided to put in an offer on a listing that eventually was accepted, she was very helpful with the rest of the process (HOA, inspection, title company, insurance, Electric company, etc.) Being non-residents of the USA, we needed some extra guidance on the specifics on purchasing a property in Florida. Avis was going the extra mile to help us find the Condo for our retirement. On top of her dedication to her clients, Avis has been in the Real Estate business for a very long time, So she is very experienced and knowledgeable and that is something important to me when I am dealing with any professional. Avis handled the viewing without us in attendance and kept us fully informed of their progress. She got all the paperwork to us all (seller, buyer and title agents) quickly and made sure that everything was immediately processed.
