Amber Orton grew up in an Air Force family that lived in seven states across the U.S. and Baguio City, Philippines. Having moved so many times, Amber knows what her clients are going through as they prepare to buy, sell and move, and she knows what it feels like when you find a place to call home.
After graduating from Colorado College with a B.A. in Economics in 1994, Amber initially moved to Melrose due to its proximity to Boston. She and her husband quickly discovered what a tight-knit community they had found. That sense of community compelled Amber to leave her career as a real estate financial analyst in the banking industry in 2001 and begin exploring residential sales. She initially worked alongside her mother, a 20-year veteran in the real estate industry.
After nine years of working hard to build her business, the demand for her services expanded. In 2017, Amber hired an agent and a full-time marketing professional to form a team that provides the best experience possible for buyers and sellers. They collaborate with a group of lenders and attorneys to ensure that even the most complicated problem is handled with ease and care. That attention to detail continues far past closing day. Clients appreciate the resources Amber’s team has to assist with every conceivable task, from organizing closets and cleaning the gutters to finding a new home if they move out of state. This high level of service and professionalism propelled Amber and her team to The Top 50 RE/MAX real estate teams in all of New England. More importantly, it’s built an ongoing relationship with clients that keeps them returning for all of their real estate needs.
Amber has continued to educate herself in the ever-changing real estate landscape and has earned special designations that serve her clients. She is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).
Exploring the world is a passion for Amber, her husband, and three children. They take annual SCUBA diving trips to Grand Cayman and have explored the waters of Belize, Cabo, Hawaii, and Australia's Great Barrier Reef, to name a few. Two of their most memorable family vacations were a dude ranch in Colorado and a trip to Finland and Sweden, where they met long-lost relatives who found them on Facebook. They dream of future trips to the Galapagos, Bonaire, Greece, Africa, and Switzerland. In retirement, Amber and her husband plan to keep their home base in Melrose, MA, while traveling the U.S. in a Winnebago Travato.
