The Acronym PSI-Q
Alyssa helped me obtain a home which had the characteristics described in the acronym PSI-Q: Privacy, Serenity, Inspiration, and Quiet. It took us many months, and we went down several dead-end roads, so to speak, submitting offers that were rejected by buyers, as I moved from a weak to a strong buyer's position that evolved in tandem with the marketing, listing, and ultimately the sale of my previous home. Twice I instructed her to make an offer, but then had a change of heart, and had to pull back, because my instincts told me the house wasn't the one for me. Alyssa was patient when I did that, even though she had done extensive work in preparing and submitting the offers. Several houses of interest to me had serious problems. Alyssa made sure to alert me of these deal-breaking hazards. When I feared wearying her with my requests to see house after house she responded by saying that it wasn't a problem because she liked looking at houses. The house I ultimately purchased was one I found from a competitor's listing email, a newly listed house, destined to be sold (to me) within 36 hours. After looking at the realty pictures, I knew the house was of great interest to me. It had PSI-Q. Alyssa walked me through the house on a virtual tour as I sat at my computer in my NY home, and I purchased this Connecticut home sight unseen. The purchase entailed a leap of faith on my part, but my trust of Alyssa was enough: I knew she had my best interest at heart. Additionally, she put me in contact with a banker who gave me a great rate on a mortgage, a legal firm that provided the necessary counsel, and, in the end, (most importantly) a key to the house, which I received at the time of closing. Simultaneously selling and buying homes is a big process. Alyssa helped me through the buyer's end of the matter. I'm very appreciative of her help.
