My wife and I were looking to move into a new area where we had no experience. The communities that we were looking at had severe flooding back in May, and we needed somebody with the local experience that could direct us away from problem areas. Alex showed us the houses that we were interested in, as well as made his own recommendations. He would also tell us what the impact had been for the flooding in that area and what the outlook was for the future. After two days, we had not found a house that met all of our needs. So we agreed to get back with Alex after there was more inventory. Alex continued to email us information on properties that met our criteria, and 2 weeks later, he sent information on a house that got my wife and I excited immediately. We called him the next day, and he informed us that he had just previewed the house that morning. He explained the special situation with the house being in foreclosure, and the process that the bank was going to be using to take offers. He told us the price range in which he thought the house would sell, and we made an offer at the high end of his range, sight unseen. Alex's estimate was spot-on, and we edged out the next highest offer to get the house. We were out of state, and Alex represented us at every step of the way. He met with the inspector, and walked us through the house on a video chat. He showed us each of the concerns found by the inspector, answered questions, and made recommendations. There is no way we could have gone through with this purchase without a realtor that was willing to take all the extra steps representing us when we couldn't be there. Alex told us that we would love the house , and he was right. We don't expect to sell the house anytime soon, but if we do we will be working with Alex. Alex was honestly extremely helpful with every step of the process. When we started to search for homes he made sure to point out the cons and pros to each house we looked at. Once we found a home we liked and put in a bid he made sure that if we needed help with anything to offer assistance and even offered to help us paint and fix up what needed fixing.
