Tried to push houses on us that we didn't want. Wasn't really involved with us on finding our house now. Was really slow on updating us on progress. On closing tried to change us for money that he didn't get from builder.

Alan Wind is very knowledgeable about the real estate market. Alan goes above and beyond the call of duty when finding his clients the right home. My husband and I lived out of state. When my daughter and I made plans to come see homes for sale, Alan offered to pick us up from the airport and drop us off. He recommended a nice hotel that is walking distance from the beach and convenient to restaurants. Alan took us to see many homes during our time visiting and he didnt mind showing us homes that we found online, last minute. He also drove us around the Island so we could get a feel for it and know what it has to offer. He essentially dedicated the weekend just for us. After almost a month of due diligence, we walked away from our #1 choice that Alan found because of non disclosure issues with the seller in September, 2019. We then moved to our targeted second choice property that Alan had also found. However the properties for sale did not meet our specifications for unit location within the complex, etc. Also, most properties don't come up for sale until January since that is when the "snowbird" migration starts so the options were limited. Instead of waiting, Alan took the initiative to contact all existing Owners to see who may want to sell, optimally before the unit hit the MLS. Alan hit gold and we went under contract on a unit that was on the top floor with a spectacular view; it exceeded our expectations. With Alan you get someone who knows the properties in and around St Augustine. He also knows how to dig to the understand the viability of the HOA which I can't stress the importance enough. Not understanding the financial viability of the HOA can cost you large assessments and future property value. The complex we bought in was Alan's first choice because it checked all the boxes and he was right.
