Debbie is living her dream working and raising a family in the beautiful Vail Valley. Originally from Charleston, West Virginia, she began skiing at a young age and visited Vail for family vacations. The mountains of Colorado always called her. Like so many, she came to spend a winter and then fell in love with the year-round activities and lifestyle of the Vail Valley. Debbie graduated from The University of North Carolina, Wilmington with a degree in International Business, moved to Vail in 2000 and started working for Slifer Smith & Frampton in 2006. She has worked on 4 successful development projects in the valley including The Residential Suites at The Ritz-Carlton, The Westin, The Ascent and The Four Seasons, Vail. Along with her two beautiful children, she takes advantage of the amazing family friendly events, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, biking, hiking, rafting, paddle boarding, and yoga offered in the Vail Valley. Before beginning her real estate career, Carling worked in finance for Morgan Stanley in the heart of Boston. She quickly realized she was meant to live mountains and moved to the Vail Valley in the fall of 2009, where she joined the Slifer Smith & Frampton marketing department. After five years of valuable experience in corporate marketing, she obtained her real estate license and has thrived in the real estate world ever since. Originally from Noth Conway, NH, a charming New England ski town, Carling was an elite ski racer in her early years. She attended the prestigious Holderness School and later earned a BA in Political Science and Economics from St. Lawrence University. Today, she lives in Singletree with her husband, Dane, their daughter Delaney (4), and son William (1.5). In her free time, she enjoys skiing, hiking, floating the Colorado River, on-mountain picnics, live music, and Colorado Blue Bird Days.

Chris moved to Vail in 1978 after graduating from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia with a B.A. in psychology. Once in Vail, he began his employment with Vail Associates in the mountain department before transferring to Vail Associates Real Estate in 1990. He has been a member of the broker team of Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate since its inception, following the merger of Vail Associates Real Estate with Slifer Smith & Frampton. Chris' long history in Vail has allowed him to be a part of the growth throughout the Vail Valley. As a member of the largest sales team in Eagle County, Chris has received numerous sales awards, including twice earning the Golden Eagle Award, recognizing him as one of the top 10 brokers in Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. When not at work, Chris enjoys the Vail Valley and all it has to offer. Some of his favorite recreational activities include skiing, hiking, camping, kayaking and gardening. Chris and his wife Mary, who met in Vail, were married in 1984. They have two sons, Nathan and Joshua, who are both married and currently pursuing their career goals after graduating from colleges out of state.
