Ellie was able to successfully bring to a close another deal - a sale - and accompanied me to the closing in order to carefully look over the closing documents and check the amounts to make sure everything was in order. Ellie Hitt has helped me with three transactions this year: the sale of two properties, and rental of the third. All three were rental homes in need of serious repairs and upgrading. Not only did Ellie put me in touch with all the necessary contractors and service people, but also helped coordinate with them such as suggesting the best color scheme for the interior painting, types of cabinet and vanity, etc. Furthermore, she went to the houses multiple times to monitor the progress of the renovations, and did a final walk through when the work was completed to check on final details and get the contractors to touch up some work that didn’t meet her exacting standards. She was present at both settlements in order to verify the final figures while guiding me through the process. As for the rental, she vetted potential renters before presenting their application to me. Her work and support was thorough during the entire process, sending me detailed reminders of required steps to sign electronic papers and gather all the pertinent documentation to close the deals. I was delighted with how quickly Ellie managed to find interested parties and agree on settlement terms and dates for the 3 properties once they went on the market.

Nancy provided direction to us from the first day we met with her. She understood our needs and concerns and was sensitive to our selling of our house after owning it for 35 years. On our first meeting she has already completed a market survey and presented us with other homes in the area that recently sold so we clearly understood the market and could price the home correctly based on market conditions. Nancy held an open house that was very well prepared and was attended by many potential byers. We received three bids after the open house and all were above the asking price. Nancy helped us decide our the best offer and we signed a sales contract three days after the open house for more than our initial price. Nancy continued to guide us through the settlement and closing of the sale and always kept us informed, in great detail, through the entire process. Whether you are buying or selling a home, I recommend Ellie Hitt without reservation. Not only is she knowledgeable and experienced, she is a good person with a kind heart. I have been helping out an elderly friend in declining health who suddenly found himself unable to continue in his own home which, to put it mildly, was not in the best of repair. Not only that, but he had been financing his lifestyle for 15 years through borrowing on a reverse mortgage, and there was some question as to whether he could even sell the house for what he owed. We called Ellie, and thanks to her contacts and knowledge of the Germantown market, we got multiple "as is" offers and my friend was able to get out from under this financial burden. I highly recommend Etta Tobin if you are looking to sell. Etta was extremely responsive to calls and quick requests and guided us through every piece of the process. In truth, Etta not simply guided, but took the lead in scheduling inspections and taking care of many details along the way. We enjoyed working with her and would engage her again were it not that we are moving out of state. You can stop looking for an agent and just give her a call!
