My wife Angela and I have lived in the Orr area for the past few years. However, my roots to the area date back to 1993 when I began my teaching and coaching careers at the Orr School. In 2001, I transferred to Cook and spent a number of years teaching and coaching at the Cook School and eventually winding back up at the North Woods School located between Cook and Orr. With summers off, I decided to become a realtor knowing that in northern Minnesota, it is the time of year real estate buying and selling is at its peak. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, being on the lake or in the woods and occasionally on the golf course. My wife Vanessa and I moved our family to northern Minnesota in 1995, and we have never looked back. My first job was working in construction, sales and design for Voyageur Log Homes, one of Minnesota’s largest log home producers. In 1997 we bought an old fishing resort and spent the next 21 years rebuilding that “old fish camp” into one of the premier family resorts on Pelican Lake. My knowledge of construction was a key factor in giving the resort its facelift and ultimately bringing new guests. But it was the returning guests that accounted for 70% of our reservations that made us successful. I understand that there is no better form of advertising than a client who is happy with the service they have received. After we sold the resort in 2017, I began my real estate career at RE/MAX Lake Country and brought that same work ethic, motivation to succeed and attention to detail into my new profession. When the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase RE/MAX Lake Country in 2019, we didn’t think twice. We have worked side by side as business owners for much of our married life, so we felt the purchase of RE/MAX Lake Country was a perfect fit.
