•Complete Professional Seller’s Market: Being two years new to Colorado, I looked at several dozen houses from all different marketing areas, Boulder to Colorado Springs, Evergreen to east of route 83. To state the obvious, it is a sellers’ market here. Too quickly I found brokers who took the approach that the market is “just the way things are”; or “it is what it is.” I’m certain that the brokers list is endless for clients who wish to sell their homes. But, finding a good broker who is willing to work for you as a buyer is a different breed. Simply put, in my book the standard is much much higher. Fair Market Value: My perspective is that, I don’t begrudge anyone the profit of a fair market sale, but what I will not do, is pay for the insatiability people deliberate as a rational market price. My second problem was finding a good broker partner who thought the same way. Someone who was in my corner, filtering out and looking at the properties that were a fair market value and in my price range. Trust: I don’t automatically trust or mistrust anyone, for me it’s neutral until something you show me moves it in either direction. Honest Opinion: The other phase of trust is whether I believe that you’re giving me an honest opinion with my interest in mind or that you have your own interests in mind. The relationship that was fostered with Christopher turned out to be knowing that he was in my corner and worked for my best interests at every aspect of the process. I grew to trust his opinion and value his experience in the area’s that were unfamiliar to me. In the end the decision was mine to make but having relief of my concerns taken care of, and the partnership invested come to fulfillment made the judgement easier. So much that I now consider Christopher a family friend. I love my home and when it comes time to sell my home Christopher will be the only person I will call.
