I moved to Nevada last year, but kept the home in California where I had lived for over 40 years. I returned periodically for maintenance and purging, but had given little thought to selling. Last spring I rented a dumpster when I decided to clean the garage. Carlos happened to be jogging in the neighborhood and stopped by to introduce himself and initiate a conversation about the booming real estate market. My interest was piqued when he told me he could sell my house for $100,000 more than it had appraised a year earlier. We talked several times after that and finally four months later, I had him list my home. A week later, I accepted one of several offers and sold my home for $65,000 more than the figure he had originally quoted at our first meeting. Throughout the entire process Carlos impressed me with his knowledge, professionalism, and great personality and that his responsiveness to all my questions and concerns was immediate.
