Emily is super responsive and, even more importantly, asks questions we did not think to ask. In that sense, she seems much more than a real-estate agent and is a lawyer, reference to businesses, and diplomat all in one. She is also incredibly knowledgeable about both the buying process as well as the area and the market situation. Emily is absolutely fantastic to work with! I can't recommend her enough. She helped me purchase and sell this home. She has so much experience and knows the Bloomington-Normal area so well that I had no doubt my home would sell. She went above and beyond to get my house sold at a great price even through the winter when the market was slower. Her photographer took excellent photos, she had several open houses, and she even had someone come and clean the house and shovel the snow for us after we had moved out of state. Emily goes above and beyond! The move across the country seemed daunting but she was available virtually and in person when needed. She worked with the lender, buyer, and vendors to ensure that we could be taken care of virtually or in person on our behalf. Not only was Emily helpful in the home buying process and experience, she also took the time to make sure that I got a tour of the local area to make sure I not only knew the difference in areas I could live but also show me local venues, doctors, etc. that were important to know and feel comfortable with during the move. I would highly recommend Emily! Emily was so knowledgable about everything real estate and knew everything about the town. She helped get us into a new home the very same day. She also was honest and upfront about all the homes we looked at because her only goal was to make sure we moved into our forever home and she made that happen for us. Emily went above and beyond for us. We bought the home before we were officially moved in so she personally went to the home for us several times to oversee minor things like trash pick up, putting trash bins back in the garage, and making sure the home was in working order. This was my first home and she definitely made this experience positive in every way. I strongly recommend Emily for your realtor needs. Even if she cant personally take care of something, she will easily give you 2-3 people that can. I cant speak highly enough about Emily. Recommend, would do it again.

Emily Almeida began helping us buy a new house and then quickly sell our existing house in early 2023. We were downsizing from a large house in Hawthorne Hills. Our goals for the new house were not well defined and Emily helped us by showing many different possibilities from new construction to existing houses. We looked at properties all across Bloomington-Normal and even some in Hudson and other rural areas. We were also not sure what needed to be done to our existing house in order to sell quickly. We had lived in the house for over 25 years. Emily provided great advice on what to do and what not to do in order to make the house more marketable. We particularly appreciated her patience with us as we worked through the process. Her advice, friendship and expertise provided us with the guidance needed to identify and clarify our goals.
