•We met Barbara Baker when we were looking for a home to rent on a short term basis after learning that we would be moving to Tampa with little notice. When Barbara showed us the rental home that we had called her office about she brought along her i-pad and was ready to show us additional options she had located prior to the meeting. While we ended up renting a property we had seen earlier from a different agent, Barbara’s preparation stood out when it became time to look for a home to purchase. We called Barbara and let her know we were ready to start looking at purchase options. We know we are picky, fussy and well, high maintenance. Would Barbara have surmised as much from our previous brief meeting and be too busy to help us? Turns out the previous meeting was sufficiently brief enough that Barbara was more than willing to help. Well, we have been downsizing for the past 25 years with little luck. The problem being that we each seem to be downsizing the other’s stuff. Would we find the right neighborhood, with the right villa, in the right size and condition at the right price? The search was on. We spent countless hours, drove too many miles and invested every weekend in trying to find the right villa. Barbara was there for every hour, mile and weekend always upbeat and optimistic. We knew we were making progress when we finally could narrow the search to two neighborhoods. The right location, location, location must be a good starting point. While we would have preferred to purchase something move in ready, we ended up with a fixer upper that needed, well, almost everything. With remodeling nearing completion it looks like we will end up with the right villa in the right size and condition at the right price. Thanks Barbara !!! Regards, Allan & Debbie D.
