I'm Jody Black, and I've been immersed in the exciting world of real estate since 2005. Over the years, I've had the privilege of serving as a Realtor and Broker Owner, and it has been an incredibly fulfilling journey. i was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1985. I am an only child. My family moved to Oxford in 1999 and I have lived in the area ever since. After completing Law School and passing the Mississippi State Bar Exam in 2010, I began to work in the area of family law throughout northern Mississippi. During the first five and a half years after graduating from law school, I also worked as a firefighter for the Oxford Fire Department. In 2016, I left the Fire Department to focus on Child Advocacy Law, which had become my main practice area. I joined the Re/Max Legacy Team in April 2020 and absolutely love it.

I came to Northern Mississippi in 2007 and it has been my home ever since. I took my engagement photos at Rowan Oak and have wandered through the whirlpool trails more times than I can count. I've taught the wonderful community of Holly Springs for almost a decade and spent my fair share of hours hiking and playing disc golf at Wall Doxey State Park. I love this part of the Earth and it is my goal to share those feelings of respect and awe with as many people as I can.
