Top Notch Team

For generations, our family business was among the largest real estate agencies in neighboring Wisconsin. I grew up surrounded by agents and even became one myself 20 some-odd years ago. I learned that a very small number of real estate professionals are responsible for a very large percentage of the business. When it came time for me to sell an 1850s church which I'd converted into my primary residence in Michigan... I got to work identifying an ideal agent. Only two things bring in a buyer. Price and marketing. Step 1 was evaluating the statistics and isolating the top performers by two metrics: lowest average # of days on the market and smallest delta between listed price and sale price. Randy and his team were among the best in southeastern Michigan. I could be reasonably confident they would deliver a buyer and plow through obstacles through a timely closing. Randy is a likeable person. That means he stays on the good side of the many gatekeepers between you, and closing day. Agents on the other side of the transaction, appraisers, inspectors, attorneys, neighbors, title company reps, and everyone are allies when your agent is affable. Randy is experienced and an expert communicator. He showed good judgement and was accountable at every step. He has a specialized team. A solo superstar top producer is no match for this group. One person keeps track of the moving parts making sure the paperwork is perfect. Another specializes in staging and adding the human touch. A different person is in charge of maximizing social media and conventional listings/marketing. Still another person is boots on the ground ensuring the RM team is on site for secondary tasks where Randy is not personally required. With my sale, there were a few sticking points. Each was an opportunity for Randy to demonstrate excellence and he did so with abundant positive energy. I don't often leave positive reviews or deliver accolades. I hope this one informs your decision.
