During my 78 years I have purchased 8 homes in...

During my 78 years I have purchased 8 homes in three different states. However, I knew nothing about Durham when I decided to move here to be with my son, his wife, toddler grandaughter, and newborn grandson. Two months later, happily situated in my new home, I give thanks everyday for my amazing realtor, Thomas Kortus. From our first meeting, Thomas distinguished himself by listening carefully to my desire for a bright home within my price range in a dog-friendly neighborhood. Because I didn't know whether I wanted a house or a condo. we visited many of each type. Thomas answered my phone calls and texts promptly and we visited places that had just been placed on the market. The process was actually fun since Thomas detailed the pros and cons of each property and, with his building expertise, suggested ways of tapping into the home's potential. We are in a very "hot" market in Durham. When I found a home that I liked, I asked Thomas' suggestion about pricing. However, I promptly ignored his advice and was outbid. Then we found the perfect house, I listened carefully to his pricing suggestions and I got the house!!?? As an educator for 55 years I am used to making evaluations. Thomas Kortus earns a grade of A+ for his professionalism, knowledge, integrity, patience, and kindness. I am so very grateful that he is my realtor!!

We had a great experience working with Thomas. This was our first home, and he made the experience not only enjoyable but educational. We're thankful that we had someone in our corner who was knowledgeable, caring, and personable. Definitely would recommend him for anyone who's looking within the Triangle area and especially first-home buyers.

We recently bought a home in Durham with Thomas Kortus as our realtor. Thomas is very knowledgeable about the area and about real estate. He is very personable and easy to work with. When it came to closing on a home we had our hearts set on, he knew a lot of ways to get us the winning bid.
