His love for the area, as well as his extensive and business development and market knowledge, progressed to a successful career in commercial real estate, where he works to meet the goals of his clients. One of NEPA’s renowned business professionals, Greg served as the Administrator of the City of Wilkes-Barre, where he was instrumental in the growth of the downtown business district. Greg’s commitment to our area is apparent in all he does. His community volunteering is focused on community development organizations as well as the health and well-being of children. His board appointments include the Diamond City Partnership Executive Committee, Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business and Residents Association, Wilkes University Master Planning Committee, Luzerne County Diversity Commission, and Wilkes-Barre Little League among others.

Betty garners a thirty-year career in the business and a commitment to the Wyoming Valley. Steve Barrouk

About Steve

Steve brings a wealth of economic development and commercial real estate experience to his position with Lewith & Freeman. At the start of his career, he worked as an Economic Development Specialist with the Economic Development Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He went on to work as Deputy Director of the Pittsburgh Department of City Development and Executive Director of the Allegheny County Industrial Development Authority. Steve brought his experience back to Northeastern Pennsylvania where he accepted a position as President & CEO of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Business & Industry and remained in this role for two decades. He has been instrumental in the development of NEPA. When he left the Chamber, Steve entered the commercial real estate business. As a licensed real estate broker, he held the position of Vice President of Business Development Services for Mericle Commercial Real Estate Services. He was responsible for listing and sales of commercial and industrial real estate, as well as identifying new business opportunities. Steve is renowned for his commitment to the people and businesses of Northeastern Pennsylvania. He has been honored with the Distinguished Citizens Award presented by the Boy Scouts of America and the Distinguished Leader Award presented by Leadership Wilkes-Barre among many other awards. He is past Chairman of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association and has served on the boards of the Wyoming Valley United Way, Catholic Social Services, the Children’s Service Center, Leadership Wilkes-Barre, Penn State Wilkes-Barre, and the Luzerne/Schuylkill Workforce Investment Board. Steve has also received an Honorary Doctorate Degree from King’s College. When not assisting his commercial real estate clients, Steve enjoys spending time with family, including his eight grandchildren.
