•Due to past experiences with realtors, I’ve always been skeptical of paying someone to help me find a home. Combine that with a tendency toward frugality, finding a realtor to help us move was low on my priority list. Boy, was I wrong with Jeremey and Amy!!! They worked well beyond what I ever could have expected to help us find the right home for our particular needs and desires. They not only helped us find a home, but they also helped us become familiar with our new city. I HIGHLY recommend the Houltons. They were worth every penny of their commission and more.
While considering a retirement move from the southeast US to Fort Collins, CO, I found the Houltons on their YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@FortCollinsRealEstate . My wife and I visited Fort Collins, met the Houltons, and we were instantly convinced to move to FoCo and to hire them as buyer's agents. They are honestly the best realtors we’ve ever hired or encountered. They are trustworthy, extremely hard-working, have an enormous amount of knowledge about the real estate market in Colorado, and are great ambassadors for Fort Collins itself. They worked as a team to find our home. The strengths that they both bring to the table creates a synergy that made our home search much easier than it would’ve been otherwise. If you hire them, you’re getting two great realtors for the price of one. Amy brings a lot of energy, positivity, and knowledge of the FoCo real estate market and the numerous neighborhoods in the area. Jeremey brings a lot of those things as well and he really shines in terms of strategy and knowledge about finance. All of these attributes are very important in a real estate market like FoCo, which can be difficult to navigate because of how popular FoCo is. We had some very specific needs and wants in a house and they both were very attentive and patient. Buying a home can be really stressful. There were a couple times when they helped calm my nerves and helped me to stay the course in our home search. They are also great at working with seller’s agents, taking into account those agents’ personalities and motivations. They are tenacious and don’t give up until you’ve found the home that you're looking for. So, we just closed on our new home in FoCo this week and we couldn’t be more pleased. In addition to being great realtors, they’re also great people. If you’re looking to relocate locally within FoCo or moving cross-country like we are, give the Houltons your business. You’ll be glad you did.
As a former homebuilder, I have worked with countless agents, and I found Jeremey & Amy Houlton to be among the very best. In this case, Jeremey & Amy represented me as an out-of-town buyer, and they patiently adapted as my "needs" evolved and tastes fluctuated. They gladly and quickly went to homes of interest in order to shoot video tours, and they gave honest appraisals and impressions of the homes. Clear communication always. Perhaps most importantly, I always felt like they were honestly and diligently working to find a good home for me -- not trying to make a quick sale & commission. At no point did I feel any pressure to make a purchase that I was unsure about, nor did I get any pushback when raising objections to a house or neighborhood. I felt like they were truly looking out for my best interest thru the entire process. I definitely will call the Houltons first when I next buy or sell a home, and I would recommend them both without hesitation.
