There were definitely some bumps in the road to purchasing my first home, but everyone at FBC made sure to come up with solutions in order to make it happen. From John driving to meet me an hour out of town to show me properties, to the finance team educating me on the paperwork detail (which I was not familiar with being that I had never purchased a home) It was a great experience and I definitely felt I was in good hands!

I meet John Mansker through a Men's Group about six months ago in 2016. He introduced himself to my group as a realtor and I mentioned to him that I was thinking about buying a new home in 2017. I called him in January 2017 after contacting a recommended mortgage broker (by John) and getting a solid pre-approval. After doing some home searches via www.Zillow and selecting the ones I wanted to view, we schedule somed properties to see over that very weekend. We liked a couple of homes and ended up writing an offer on the home that we closed on this past week. When I had my home inspection report there were so issues, one of which the was that the roof was in poor condition with no life left to parts of it and the lender was unable to allow financing without a new roof. John negotiated with listing agent and seller. He actually meet with the seller to explain the importance on getting a new roof replacement in a timely matter since we were already under contract and had a very tight time frame to meet for an expedited closing. On top of the new roof installed before closing, John also was able to negotiate for me a $5000 contribution/allowance toward new appliances, especially since the home did not have a refrigerator or stove and was not coming with a washer and dryer. While we were under contract on at least two occasions, I asked John if he could come meet us at the home so I could have access to property to show my Mother-in-law and kids each time and each time he was accommodating and there for us! Kim has been a blessing to my family in search of a home. I went through three other realtors before Kim came into our lives. I didn't know that finding a house would be more difficult than buying it. The first realtor I had didn't know much about the business(I think I was her first client) the second realtor wanted me to buy whatever house she thought was suited for my family and the last realtor was just way too busy to even make my family a priority. Kim was everything my husband and I expected our realtor to be. She listened to our wants and needs in buying our first home. She worked around our busy schedules and drove across town and county lines just to show us potential homes. She has a well knowledge of real estate and even if she may not know the answer to a certain question (we're not all perfect) Kim always made sure that she did her research and provided us with the answer and supporting details. When it came time for closing of our house. Kim kept us in the loop of what was going on. Kim worked with us in finding a home for about 8 to 9 months and it was not until the 7th month that I realized she had other clients as well. Her personal dedication that she shows to each of her clients is just that spectacular, it is irreplaceable. The passion she has for her work and for her people(clients) is something that can't be taught because it comes from the heart. With all that being said I would strongly recommend Kim Eastwood as anyone's first time realtor or even if it is not your first time buying a house. My husband and I both agree that when it comes time to sell our house and look for another one, Kim is who we will be calling.
