The Caretakers shall be responsible for the security services at the Blandair Mansion located in Blandair Regional Park (the Mansion ) to include: daily evening security rounds to ensure that all gates and doors on the property are secure; inspection of the door and windows located in all of the outbuildings; reporting any signs of possible intrusion and/or vandalism to the Park Ranger at 410-245-1410; and ensuring that the front gate interlocking padlocks are properly positioned and locked.2. The Caretakers will notify the County immediately upon the occurrence of any emergency or any maintenance issue on the Property which could cause additional damage to the Property or injury to person.3. The Caretakers will contact Howard County Central Communications (410-313-2929) in the event of the Property alarm system being activated through Central Communications.4. The Caretakers shall call the Park Ranger at 410-245-1410 to report any occurrences at the Property such as trespasser(s), vandalism, storm damage, etc., promptly after the occurrence of such incidents and notify the County Park Ranger immediately upon the occurrence of any emergency occurring at the Property.5. The Caretakers shall notify the County at least one week in advance if they will be absent from the Property for a period of 24 or more consecutive hours.6. The Caretakers shall mow the grass within the fenced area of the Mansion as well as the area around the house.7. Mansion Specific Services to be performed by the Caretakers:a. Bi-weekly inspections of the Mansion alarm system to be sure that it is activatedb. Bi-weekly inspections of the boiler and fuel tanks for the boilerc. Bi-weekly inspections of the radiators to check for possible leaksd. Bi-weekly inspections of the well pressure tank and piping within the well roome. Bi-weekly inspection of the main electrical panel for any tripped breakersf. Bi-weekly inspection of all lighting fixtures to replace any non-functioning light bulbs for replacement from the stock supplyg. Bi-weekly inspection of the exterior Mansion fencingh. Removal of ice and snow from the front steps of the Mansion and the immediate area in and around the Bilco doors leading to the basement Other responsibilities will include mowing all grass areas around the Mansion and House, mowing the length of the driveway, and reporting any suspected tree hazards adjacent to the buildings and driveway. The tenant will be responsible for reporting blockages of the driveway resulting from trees or weather and may be responsible for guaranteeing their own access to the property during snow events (translation: parking by MD Route 175 and walking to/from the house), as the driveway may not be cleared by DRP staff for some time after a snow/weather event.
