Mary had been our buyers' agent when we bought in Ossining, and she really looked out for us as we looked around in an area we didn't know well. She kept in touch after we bought, even coming to our backyard wedding. So 10 years later, we brought her back as our sales' agent. We had her on hand in January 2022 when we wanted advice on the things we needed to do to our house before selling it, and there was MUCH we had to do that we didn't expect. We thought we had a good product, but even in winter it was far more popular than any of us expected. We had an offer for way, way over asking price the third day, I think, but on Mary's advice, we kept it on the market three more days -- and got almost 30 offers total, if memory services.
