•I just purchased a home in Carlsbad, California and John Kim represented me as my Realtor. John was instrumental in helping me find, compare, negotiate for and purchase the home of my dreams after our four-month search. I was impressed with John’s knowledge of the real estate market and the industry, from both local and national perspectives. His knowledge was particularly helpful as I was comparing my “finalists” list of properties. John was also a great coach during my negotiations with the sellers. He actually encouraged me to bid less for the home than I originally intended and my lower bid was accepted! It was a great feeling to know that I didn’t “leave money on the table” with my purchase price. Throughout our 30-day escrow, John worked proactively with key representatives from my lender, the escrow and title companies, my building inspector, the termite company and the sellers’ Realtor. I’m convinced his involvement with these individuals helped our escrow proceed smoothly and on time. John also referred me to several trusted professionals he works with regularly. I used John’s recommended building inspector, termite company and contractors and I was pleased with each of their services. John briefed me daily by text, phone or e-mail on our progress toward closing escrow. He told me in advance what I should expect next, how I needed to prepare and potential obstacles to avoid. John went above and beyond on numerous occasions to ensure that our escrow stayed on track. His anticipation of what I would experience before and after each milestone was uncanny. This skill helped me prepare financially, logistically and emotionally…and remember that homebuying IS an emotional journey!
